I decided it might help to keep a food journal as I embark on healthier eating habits. So I will try that and see if it makes me a little more aware of the damage I've been doing. : ) If I tell myself I have to write down everything I eat, I MIGHT pass up the cookies and chips so I don't have "evidence" staring me right in the face.
Here's a quick smoothie recipe in case you're interested:
**frozen strawberries & bananas,
**about 5 oz milk (today I used Silk Coconut milk, I normally use Silk Unsweetened Soy)
**2 tbsp of PB2 powdered peanut butter
PB2 is great as is gives you some protein and extra flavor in the smoothie without all the added fat. http://www.luckyvitamin.com/p-280945-pb2-powdered-peanut-butter-65-oz.
I also like Hemp protein http://www.luckyvitamin.com/p-26580-nutiva-organic-hemp-protein-15g-16-oz which doesn't add any funny protein powder taste, but gives your smoothie a protein boost.
